Roy Singer - Piano
Former rock 'n roller. Plays anything from boogie woogie to Beethoven. Composer of the hit Off-Broadway
musical Mamaleh!, he also writes chamber music and is the recipient of multiple Meet the Composer
grants. He performs with his wife, Donna Singer in New York City as well as in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
He is a transplant from Kansas. Came East with a girlfriend named Toto and a dog named Dorothy.
Peter Kwon - Alto Saxaphone
He is currently practicing general surgeon in Port Jervis, NY. He has played bassoon in middle school,
then trumpet in high school. He played trumpet with the M.I.T. Concert Jazz Band and the Festival Jazz Band during college.
He began playing the saxes about 15 years ago. He has been with the Swing Shift Orchestra for 2 years.
Warren Cahill - Trumpet
He is married to Cathy for 30 years and has three children. He is a retired English teacher
from Washingtonville High School. His hobbies include playing trumpet, studying French and working on his 125 year old
Victorian house in Newburgh.

Michael Dauerer - Drums
Even though I have been playing the drums for close to 30 years, I still love the instrument.
I thank God for giving me the ability to play and to be able to incorporate my talent into the Swing Shift Orchestra.
I mostly enjoy playing in front of my four biggest fans, my wife Emily and our three children, Maria, Nicholas, and Maximilian.
Bruce Zuckrow - Trumpet
Bruce has been playing trumpet since the 4th grade and has been a member of the Swing Shift Orchestra
since the first rehearsal. A graduate of the University of Miami, Bruce is also a member of the New York Swing Exchange
and plays in various ensembles for local community school and church functions.
Michael Roosa - Trombone Looking for a venue to play his horn, Michael formed the Swing Shift Orchestra in September of 1996 and has been
an active member of the group since the beginning. He is the owner of Wurtsboro Electric Service, Inc. and resides in Wurtsboro with his wife Monika, their son Preston, and their dog Edison.

Denard (Doc. D.) Michael - Saxaphone
His musical career started in Daytona Beach,Fl.at Campbell Street Junior High School Marching/Concert
band and the Frank Davenport & Michael Brothers (teenage) band.In 1957. He graduated from Campbell Street High School
receiving two full Music Scholarships from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee,Fl. and Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona
Beach,Fl. I had the honor of performing with Jazz greats such as Cannonball Adderley,(Alto sax) Nat (his brother) on Cornet,Elvin
Jones (Drummer), Willie "Cat" Anderson (Trumpeter), Pharoah Sanders {Tenor sax), Slide Hampton (Trombonist) and the Lunceford
Orchestra. In Rhythm & Blues I had the glory of performing with Hank Ballard & The Midnighters,The King Curtis Band,
Big Maybelle Show, Kool &The Gang Show,The Ruth Brown Show, Jackie Wilson & Moms Mabley Show. Also I toured extensively
with The Noble (Thin Man) Watts Show, Robbie Robinson Show Stoppers and The Otis Redding Show with Aaron Nevelle and etc.
I'm thrilled to be a part of Swing Shift Orchestra!
J. R. "Doc" Benson, a.k.a. B.G. Murphy - Guitar
He has been
performing professionally internationally for over 40 years.
Tom Fadden
- Saxaphone and Clarinet
Tom has been the woodwind instructor
in the Monticello Central School District
since the 2004-2005 school year. Prior to that he taught in the Pocono Mountain
School District (PA) for 10 years, where his concert and jazz bands received excellent and superior ratings at adjudication
festivals. Also during that time, 3 of the saxophone quartets he coached were
selected to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) In-Service Conference. Several of his saxophone students have gone on to major in music at the Eastman School of Music, SUNY Fredonia,
Mansfield University (PA), and West Chester University (PA). He also has been one
of the directors of the Celebration of the Arts "COTA Cats" Jazz Ensemble, a youth honors jazz ensemble, for the last
5 years. He is married to his wife, Michele (who plays flute and percussion) and they have a German Shepherd,
Astro.
Donna Singer, PhD - Vocalist
I am a graduate of the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts, with formal
training at the Julliard School of Music. The Times Herald Record in Middletown
NY wrote, "Every once in a while, you come across a voice so good it stops you in your tracks. That's Donna Cooper
Carrington (Singer)." I started "Dr. Donna's School of Song" where I teach over 30 students piano and voice.
I received my Doctoral Degree in 2001 and have been with the orchestra since 1998!

Bill Fleck - Trombone
Born and raised in Ellenville NY, Bill is the 4th trombonist in the Swing Shift Orchestra
and also plays with the Skydyne Jazz Project. By day, he is an English teacher employed by Liberty High School, and
he moonlights as a 2nd-degree black belt instructor associated with Young's Tae Kwon Do in Woodbourne. Married (to Lori)
with two sons, he enjoys participating in musical projects, reading, exercise, good friends, and good times.
